Transmission oil

i wanted to change the transmission OIL of my auto corolla so the mechanic told me not to change it 'coz he says that it is not good because we are lack of good quality of transmission oil and u might get problem afterwardes.so plzz i need ur kind suggestions what should i do and what is the best quality of transmission oil easily available in pakistan?????NOTE:- (SEVERAL MECHANICS TOLD ME NOT TO CHANGE THE T.OIL WHERE AS I NEED TO CHANGE IT SO I M CONFUSED PLZ DO GIVE ME REAL AND AUTHENTIC SUGGESTIONS)......

Oil for Automatic & Manual Transmission is easily available at Caltex filling Stations and the other running brands like Shell, Castrol,Zic, Mobil etc should also have the same grade oils available with them & i dont think that their qualty is poor as compare to internatinaly available lubes.
As far as Original oil is concern replace it if it has done its recomended milage or time span
