Transmission oil for W210 722.6

Hey there, everyone! Hope youre all doing well. Im in a bit of a pickle trying to figure out which ATF fluid to use for my E200 W210. Specifically, Im on the hunt for alternatives that match the specs of 236.10. Any suggestions o r advice would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

The closest fluid you can get today thats kind of like the 236.10 stuff is this Transynd Tes295. Its this fully synthetic transmission fluid thing thats supposed to be really good, with properties similar to Dexron 3G. But, man, its pricey – like 75 bucks for a gallon.

Another option is this Chrysler ATF+4. Its pretty decent too, and some folks say it gives a bit of extra kick to the shifts, which I kinda dig. Plus, its cheaper than Transynd. Just make sure you change it every 50,000 kilometers and get ready for that funky smell when youre swapping fluids.

Using ATF+4 can make your shifts feel more aggressive, which is cool. But dont forget to check if your valve body is all good, especially those shift overlap valves – they need to seal properly for everything to work right.
