Transmission oil leakage (A/T)

Transmission oil leakage (A/T)

today while servicing the discs i saw that the chamber for gear oil was leaking, there were few drops on it while the surrounding areas were were very dirty seems like its leaking since long time. around 25k km back i got this chamber serviced by opening it and even after that it wasn't leaking and i think the leakage started a month back because there were marks on the garage floor and the dip stick is showing low level.

I want help from you people especially levin and storm bhai and also tell me that from which inlet/place i can add gear oil as i have spare in the store so that i reaches the desired level.

Well this type of leakage is usually not severe and can easily be controlled by rubber packing around the edges of that chamber. What happens while u/mechanic opens such chambers/tappet covers etc? It is recommended to change that rubber packing everytime u open such chambers because due to severe heat in engine, that rubber melts. It will work fine until u open the chamber. While opening, that melted rubber would definitely be damaged and mechanics usually do this mistake and install the same old rubber.

Tranmission oil is usually added from the top. Get few pics of ur engine from the top, it will be easy to tell u from where the fluid should be added. Usually in case of transmission fluid, u have to add the oil from the same inlet in which the gauge is installed
