Unjustified Confiscation of Light Bar by Traffic Police

Unjustified Confiscation of Light Bar by Traffic Police

While driving on Shahrah-e-Qaideen, I was pulled over by the police for having tinted windows and a light bar on my car. Although it was clear they had no other reason for stopping me, they confiscated my light bar and issued me a challan for Ignoring Rules For Which Penalty Is Not Prescribed 46 - Extra Lights / Decorations in Vehicles 12.

The incident took place during the daytime when the light bar was not even turned on. Meanwhile, several other vehicles with fake number plates, dark tints, and aftermarket lights drove by without being stopped. Despite remaining calm and polite, the confiscation of my property was unjustified, and I only got it back due to my connections. Its frustrating to see wealthy and influential drivers regularly violating traffic rules while others face repercussions for minor offenses.

Although the light bar was mounted where the stock fog lights were, the police would have removed those too if given the chance. The incident highlights the ridiculousness of the entire traffic stop, with the police ignoring the more significant issue of tattered old tint films on car windows.

Tinting your car windows is illegal regardless.
