URGENT HELP REQUIRED!!

URGENT HELP REQUIRED!!

HI, I'm in Zimbabwe now a days, and am driving Mazda 3 here. I gave my car for service last month and was charged Zim$ 1.6Trillion Equilant to US$500 back then just for changing oil and filter, That is a lesson learnt never to do anything or buy anything for cars here, so i decided to do all my service and car related work in South Africa, My car had problem with airflow sensor since quite some times, and it lagged when accelerating as if i was driving a Mehran, today i asked at a shop and they were asking US$400 just for the airflow sensor. And ofcourse i was not going to buy that at that price.
I came home, took out the airflow sensor and cleaned it with petrol. once i reinstalled it, it was driving better then new, It was accelerating super fast, and i didn't feel as if i was pushing the car at high RPM, But Now Sometimes the car engine turns off for about 1 second, when i am driving in streets it automatically starts again, but if i am very slow it shuts off. What could be the problem, and what can i do to resolve this problem, I would very very thankful for any help. Sorry for the Long post.

could be one of a million things.

most probably cluprits are 1, fuel lines/filers are dirty or 2, engine is still learning about the reset of the airflowsensor after it was cleaned.

this is just a guess
