Urgent "How does immobilizer works"

have any1 ever come across immobi thingy?

i have a nissan primera. after every long ride, when i park my car and the next day try to start it, the immobilizer goes off and doesnt let the car start. after leaving it there for lets say next 24 hrs, it starts working.

any1 know whts goign on.
i have a red plastic chip on my key. some say that its a chip in there. how does that chip correspond to the one near the ignition key hole. does that key contain some battery. if so then it much have ran out and car isnt recognizing the gen key.


help req urgent

it depends on the immobilizer.

from what you are describing it seems to me that your car has a chip in the key which sends a signal to the immobilizer to deactivate and it is currently malfunctioning. i'm not too sure about the battery or if there is even a changable battery in the key. coudl you post a pic of the key so that we all can help you out a bit more.
