Urget :Chevy Exclusive original oil filter or

Guyz i wanted to know that what difference would it make if i go for some other company's oil filter in my chevy on the next oil change insted of the original one which is being provided at the showrooms......... does it really make a difference as most of the cars out there are not installed with the genuine.......... does the genuine thing give any advantage........... and if it's of a superior quality then is there any difference in the technical specification or just the material used............after all it just filters the oil there's no rocket science involved...............

I said urgent because i will be changing the oil tomorrow, infact going to synthetic from mineral, zic hi flo to be specific, and also wanted to know what retailer is in the most reliable in isb/pindi....... saquib bhai said something about a wholeseller in sector I-10.............

Please be quick ..........

And anyone who has installed some other filter in his chevy do tell that if there is some problem in the exact fitting.... i don't want a new car leaking oil......... i just don't want the botheration of going to the showroom for a filter again and again.....

I think there is no harm in going to showroom/authorized workshop for some genuine reason, don't buy something cheap since they might create problems in the near future!
