Used Prius Alpha VS Brand New Corolla

Dear All,
I want to buy the new and bigger car, which can suit for family requirements. I checked specs of various cars and I found Prius Alpha and Freed suitable for my family needs. But this car seems expensive so I am reluctant to buy it as my budget is limited to 2.8 million. I want to buy the brand new Corolla. If the Prius is suitable, then please let me share the budget and price of this car and what will be the better option for me against brand new Corolla.
