Vacuum reading problem

today i got a vacuum gauge installed in my alto vxr!iv maintained the car on petrol the problem is that when i press the throttle the needle drops down to 0 and when i get go it reaches 20! and on idle it remains on 15!
even when i launch the car n as long as ive pressed full throttle the needle remains on 0 but as i let go 2 shift it jumps up to 20
i tried searching it up on the internet but ive found tht such a reading can confirm worn out rings!
can any1 plz shed sum light on this subject?
