Vti check engine light on?

my 2002 honda vti manual has suddenly gotten its check engine light on, but only on cng, when i switch it to petrol, it goes off.

the problems faced while light on are, when i convert it to cng, light turns on after 5, 10 seconds, and it reduces acceleration and consumes double its normal cng average consumption.

can anyone enlighten me as to what could be the problem and how can i resolve it?

I had same problem once in my Honda City, & once in Altis, Just cleaned/changed the Air filter and cleaned the MAF sensor and problem solved. Always keep you air filter clean.
