W210 e240 idle rpm issue!

SOS to all merc experts (esp storm)

My W210 E240 (2001) has started giving a strange question of late.

it starts fine (recently changed battery OEM), a slightly higher speed Arnd 1300-1500 for mandatory 20ish secs ... THN drops Arnd 1000 .... snatch car starts engine dies or just dies without warning or shock. if I keep the accelerator opd to 1000 + rpm, everything is fine ... with the answer, etc. ... but when the foot comes off the pedal (even after 5-6 minutes) it just dies.

More importantly, not start over with tht point in time, but again easily next day.

please note that the check engine light is constant and does not go away. (ABT is used for one month to come back, but went away after a few restarts, and there was no question of the engine to die either).

Need help, its pretty freaking me out

Have the air mass meter checked.It is near the air cleaner is located wd40.Best box.wash with Javed in the G-10 to I & T center next Razaq workshop.He CNG has the right attitude and equipment to repair or replace dignose parts.One of the best guys for MB.
