Warning Light Battery Symbol Stays On While Driving

Some Santro drivers notice that the battery warning light remains illuminated on the dashboard while driving. The car may also produce unusual noises like whining from the engine bay. This can indicate an alternator malfunction, belt slipping, o r voltage regulator failure. What steps should be taken to identify the cause of a persistent battery warning light, and how can the alternator issue be fixed?
