What are the Basics, after rain.

dear all

my car stopped in the middle of the road during heavy karachi rain. somehow it started on petrol, i got my car at home, but still cant get it started after 2 days.

i would like to be informed, that what are the basic tips, when a car stopped or doesnt start after the rain.

1 tip i have, which is, after coming back to your home during rain, get your negative battery terminal out, so that short circiut doesnt squeez your battery.

my car is honda city 2002 EXIS

If its not starting, dont try hard to get the engine started. Check oil for water traces, flush it and change. Replace air filter. If its carby car, get the carburetor serviced with air pressure. Inspect air intake area for water traces and use air pressure to clean it. Check gear oil and change it if found mixing. Check Power steering and brake fluids also.

If not taken care of it can seize your engine pretty badly.
