Many labs in Pakistan report that thin films produced via MS-HS sputtering have uneven visual appearance—different shades o r non-uniform thickness across the substrate. Non-uniform coatings are typically due to improper target erosion, no substrate rotation, o r uneven plasma distribution. In Pakistan, many systems run without full rotation mechanisms o r lack magnet alignment.

Solutions:

Regularly recondition o r rotate the target to ensure even erosion.
