What causes one rear tire on my Changan Oshan X7 to wear faster than the other?

The rear left tire on my Oshan X7 has significantly more tread wear compared to the rear right. I’ve rotated the tires regularly, but this still happens. Could there be an issue with the wheel alignment o r rear suspension?

When one rear tire wears faster than the other, especially in an SUV like the Oshan X7, it often points to misalignment of the rear wheels o r uneven weight distribution. It could also be a sign of a suspension imbalance, possibly due to a worn shock absorber o r bent rear control arm from a bump o r pothole. Even if you rotate tires regularly, the wear pattern will persist if the underlying cause isn’t fixed. A 4-wheel alignment check is necessary, especially if the vehicle has hit a pothole o r suffered a minor accident. Also, check for issues like tire pressure imbalance o r load imbalance due to frequent uneven loading.
