What if i dont put new engine number on book

aslamualikum, guys i have just change the engine of my car & i had installed the same engine again so i just want to ask that what happent if i dont put new engine number on car book.although we put the same engine agian. what are the drawbacks if i dont put the engine number on book. thanks.

If the car is ever stopped and the numbers are checked according to the book and a fault is found then the police has the right to lock your car up since the vehicle is technically "tampered".

The fee for changing engine numbers at the ETO/reg office should be pretty minimal, donk risk the headache of getting your car locked up, pay the fee and get the numbers changed in the book making the car 100% legal.
