What to use as woofer PORT?

What to use as woofer PORT?

im thinkin of makin a new enclosure for my woofer.
im using it in a .62cu sealed box at the moment.
according to spec on website and my own observation, i get a relative flat response down to 40hz, but overall, the lower octaves sound lower then main speakers, with a port tuned at 45-50hz, as per polk website, i should get 10db increase between 60-40hz and 5 around 70 80hz, F3 at 37hz, F10 at 25hz, i think i can use that to match the output with my mains.

3 problems thou

1. twice the size of current enclosure, something i really dont want
2. what to use as port, need a round one
3, 1500rs

abt the number 2, im thinkin of using 3inch PVC pipe, some on net also recommemded it, but is thr any other options? something better and more stable?

any ideas or thoughts plz?

first of all u didnt mention the driver size
secondly as a rule of thumb
the lower u go, the bigger box u need.

since now u want an enclosure for SPL , build a box thats 80 Ltrs approx ( that aint a very big box)
and tune it to 60 hrtz, u ll need a 3.5 " long 6 diameter PVC pipe.

but keep it in mind u l be experiencing sharp response peak that wont do good to ur ears, means if u listen to rock .
