Wht is Hybrid

wht is hybrid and how it works? How muck Km/litre it will done?

Hybrid has Two engines. One for intial momentum, i.e. stop and go driving like that of highway, where the Electic engine is used, while during the cruising speed, above 30 to 40 mph, the electric engine stops and Petrol engine starts smoothly without any noise or jerking feel.

Toyota has Prius, Hybrid. Honda introduced, Insight, during 1998 I think. Very expensive to manufacture at first, but since these car makers have deep pockets, they infact sold the initial cars, as a loss, just to be first in the market for Hybrid cars. Now every other car maker is scrambling to make a hybrid. Honda now even has a civic hybrid, just introduced last month in US, for US $20,000. Or Pakistani Rs, 12 lakh, its funny how they are overcharging in Pakistan, a basic Civic in the International market is just $13,000 or Rs. 750,000. But in Pak. they are marketing it at Rs. 12 lakh. This Hybrid (Dual engines)should have been Sold in Pakistan for 12 lakh, and not the cheapest basic one, with just one engine, petrol engine, for 12 Lakh.
