Why Does My MG HS Engine Idle Roughly o r Vibrate When Stopped?

Sometimes when I stop at a signal o r park, the engine of my MG HS shakes slightly o r idles roughly. Could this be an issue with engine mounts, spark plugs, fuel injectors, o r maybe the CVT/dual-clutch system?

Rough idling o r vibration at a standstill can be due to engine o r transmission-related issues. In the MG HS, common causes include:

Worn o r damaged engine mounts – common in bumpy Pakistani roads.

Faulty spark plugs o r coils – cause misfires during idle.

Dirty throttle body o r injectors – restrict fuel flow at low RPM.

Low-quality fuel o r fuel contamination.

Issues with the dual-clutch transmission DCT – slight shuddering may feel like engine vibration.

Action: Have the engine mounts checked, do a throttle body and injector cleaning, and replace spark plugs if needed. Use premium fuel to reduce deposits.
