Why does my Oshan X7’s brake pedal feel soft when the brakes are hot?

When driving in traffic o r downhill, the brake pedal on my Changan Oshan X7 becomes soft and less responsive. Could this be due to overheated brake pads, air in the brake lines, o r something else?

A soft o r spongy brake pedal after the brakes get hot can mean:

Brake fluid is boiling inside the system due to high temperatures.

There may be air bubbles in the brake fluid which compress when hot.

Brake pads may be overheated and losing friction.

This is dangerous, especially during downhill o r high-speed driving. Heres what to do:

Flush and replace brake fluid recommended every 2 years in Pakistani conditions

Check if brake pads are worn out o r low-grade

Ensure calipers are not sticking, and the brake booster is working

If the issue continues, get your full brake system checked.
