Why does my Oshan X7’s infotainment system freeze randomly?
My Changan Oshan X7s infotainment system often freezes o r becomes unresponsive, especially during long drives o r in hot weather. I’ve tried restarting the car, but it doesn’t always work. Is this a software issue o r a hardware defect? Is anyone else in Pakistan facing this problem?

Yes, this is a reported issue among Oshan X7 owners in Pakistan. The infotainment system, which runs on a basic Android-based OS, can freeze due to a few reasons:
Software glitches: The firmware isnt as polished as in Japanese o r Korean vehicles, leading to bugs o r lag, especially during multitasking e.g., using navigation + music.
Overheating: In hot weather, the system may overheat due to lack of adequate cooling in the dash area.
Lack of updates: Changan Pakistan has not rolled out regular OTA Over-the-Air software updates to fix bugs o r improve performance.
Solution: Try resetting the infotainment system using factory reset from the settings. Avoid installing third-party apps via USB. For a long-term fix, you may need a firmware upgrade from the dealership, though availability is limited. Some users report better performance after manually updating o r replacing the head unit.
