Why is my Hyundai Oshan X7 giving poor fuel average in city traffic despite normal driving?

I recently purchased a Hyundai Oshan X7 in Pakistan and noticed that the city mileage is far below expectations. Im getting around 7–8 km/l, which seems too low compared to what’s advertised. I drive mostly in moderate traffic, use AC occasionally, and avoid aggressive acceleration. Is this normal in Pakistani cities like Lahore o r Karachi, o r should I have it checked?
