Why is my MG HS infotainment system so laggy and unresponsive?

The touchscreen system in my MG HS has become increasingly slow and glitchy. Sometimes it freezes completely o r fails to connect with Android Auto. I’ve tried resetting it, but the problem keeps coming back. Are others in Pakistan experiencing the same issue? Is there a fix o r update available?

MG’s infotainment system, especially in earlier models, has a reputation for being slow, laggy, and sometimes unresponsive. This affects features like Android Auto, reverse camera, and system boot-up time.

Common causes:

Underpowered Hardware: The system runs on a low-spec processor and RAM, making it sluggish.

Buggy Software: Early software versions had issues MG has released updates, but they’re not always applied at local service centers.

Heat Sensitivity: High cabin temperatures can affect the touch response and speed.

What you can do:

Ask the dealership for the latest infotainment firmware update.

Keep the system free of unnecessary apps o r data.

Use Android Auto o r Apple CarPlay via cable instead of relying on the built-in interface.
