Why is my MG HS leaking transmission fluid after a long drive?

I own a 2021 MG HS in Karachi, and after driving for more than an hour, I noticed a puddle of reddish fluid underneath the car when parked. The car shifts normally, but I’m worried this could be a transmission fluid leak. Is this a common problem with the MG HS DCT? What could be causing the leak, and how urgent is it to get it checked?

This is a fairly common concern with MG HS vehicles, especially those equipped with the 7-speed DCT. Transmission fluid leaks after a long drive can be caused by:

Increased fluid temperature: The fluid expands and may leak from weak seals o r gaskets.

Worn o r damaged seals: Heat and pressure during long drives can deteriorate seals, causing leaks.

Loose o r damaged transmission pan bolts o r drain plugs.

Even if shifting seems normal now, leaking fluid can lead to lower transmission pressure, causing future gear shifting problems o r clutch damage. Its advisable to get the leak inspected and repaired promptly at an authorized MG service center.
