Why is my MG HS transmission suddenly failing without warning?

I have a 2021 MG HS, and recently the transmission started failing abruptly while driving in Karachi. The gear shifts became rough, and then the car wouldn’t shift at all. No prior warning lights appeared before this happened. Is sudden transmission failure common in MG HS models here in Pakistan? What could cause this—software glitch, clutch failure, o r mechanical fault? How urgent is it to get it checked?

Software glitches: Older transmission control software might cause erratic behavior o r sudden failure.

Electrical issues: Wiring o r sensor faults can cause the transmission to enter “limp mode” o r stop shifting.
