Why is my Oshan X7’s gear shifting rough after noticing a possible transmission fluid leak?

My Oshan X7 has started shifting roughly, especially from 1st to 2nd gear. I also saw some fluid stains under the car a few days ago. Could the rough gear shifts be directly related to a transmission fluid leak? How urgently should I get it inspected, and can driving it in this state cause further damage?
