Why is the central locking in my MG HS delayed o r unresponsive?

When I press the lock/unlock button inside the cabin o r use the remote, there’s sometimes a delay of a few seconds before the doors respond. This doesn’t seem normal. Is this a software-related issue o r is something wrong with the door lock actuators? Any known fixes in Pakistan?

Delayed o r sluggish central locking can be linked to electrical issues o r system lag, especially in older o r software-bugged MG HS models in Pakistan.

Causes:

Voltage fluctuations from the battery o r alternator affecting electronic systems.

Weak door lock actuators o r dirty connectors can delay signal response.

The infotainment and locking systems are interconnected — if the main unit is lagging, it may affect the locks as well.

What you can do:

Get the battery voltage and alternator output checked.

Ask the MG workshop to test the lock actuators and perform a system reset.

Ensure your vehicle is running the latest software version — ask for a full software scan at your next service.
