Why is the MG HS AC not cooling effectively in Pakistan’s extreme summer?

Many MG HS users, including myself, feel that the air conditioning system isnt powerful enough during peak summer in cities like Lahore, Multan, o r Karachi. Even after 10–15 minutes of driving, the cabin remains warm, especially for rear passengers. Is the AC underpowered, o r is it a known issue with insulation o r refrigerant levels? Are there any local fixes o r upgrades that help improve cooling performance?

This is one of the most common complaints by MG HS users in Pakistan. The AC system often struggles in temperatures above 40°C, especially in cities like Karachi, Multan, o r Lahore. The problem mainly lies in:

Undersized compressor compared to the cabin size.

Panoramic sunroof and large windows, which allow more heat into the cabin.

Poor rear AC vent performance, leaving rear passengers uncomfortable.

Weak insulation, especially in locally assembled variants.

Solutions:

Ensure your AC gas refrigerant level is optimal many cars from the factory are underfilled.

Use ceramic o r high-quality window tints to reduce heat entry.

Apply sunshade films on the panoramic roof.

Park in shade and pre-cool the cabin with remote start if available.

Some users have installed aftermarket cabin cooling fans o r upgraded AC blower motors.
