Why is the suspension of my Changan Oshan X7 so noisy on speed breakers?

Why is the suspension of my Changan Oshan X7 so noisy on speed breakers?

I’ve noticed clunking o r rattling noises from the suspension when going over potholes o r speed breakers. It feels like something is loose underneath. The car is just 10,000 km driven. Is this a common issue with the suspension o r bushings in Pakistans road conditions?

Yes, suspension noise over potholes, speed breakers, and rough roads is a known concern, especially in Pakistani road conditions.

Causes include:

Harder suspension tuning: For handling and stability, the suspension is tuned a bit stiffer, making it more likely to transmit bumps and noises.

Low-quality bushings: Some users have reported premature wear of rubber bushings and mounts.

Loose components: A few cases involve slightly loose struts o r link rods from the factory.

What you can do:

Get it checked by the dealership for any loose suspension parts o r worn bushings.

Ask if the suspension can be greased o r dampened.

Avoid overspeeding on rough roads and heavy loads, which increase wear.

If under warranty, parts should be checked and replaced free of charge.
