. How to identify and fix faulty parking sensors on a Mercedes-Benz E-Class in Pakistan?

The parking sensors on my Mercedes-Benz E-Class frequently give false alerts o r stop working altogether, especially during the rainy season in Pakistan. Is this caused by sensor damage, wiring issues, o r environmental factors like dust and moisture? What’s the best way to diagnose and repair parking sensor problems here?

Common causes of parking sensor issues include:

Physical damage: Scratches, dents, o r cracks due to minor accidents o r debris from roads can impair sensor function.

Dirt and moisture: Dust accumulation and water ingress during the monsoon season can cause false alerts o r sensor failure.

Wiring problems: Corrosion o r loose wiring connections due to humidity can interrupt sensor signals.

Software glitches: Sometimes the control module needs resetting o r software updates.

To diagnose, visually inspect sensors for damage o r dirt, clean them gently, check wiring and connectors, and scan the car for related fault codes. Repair o r replace damaged sensors and ensure proper sealing against moisture.
