Gari Master - on 11 Oct 2025 13:22:23 pmExcessive oil consumption in an E-Class can be caused by several factors:
Engine Wear: Over time, components like piston rings and valve seals wear out, allowing oil to seep into the combustion chamber and burn off.
Oil Leaks: External leaks from gaskets, seals, o r oil pans can lead to noticeable oil loss.
PCV Positive Crankcase Ventilation Valve Issues: A malfunctioning PCV valve can cause pressure buildup and oil burning.
Oil Grade and Quality: Using incorrect o r poor-quality oil may increase consumption.
Driving Conditions: Frequent short trips o r heavy loads can cause the engine to consume more oil.
What to do: Monitor oil levels regularly, use manufacturer-recommended oil, check for leaks, and have a professional mechanic inspect the engine internals if consumption is very high.
