Are local mechanics in Pakistan capable of diagnosing and fixing alternator problems in BMW 2 Series?

I’m concerned that some local workshops may misdiagnose alternator issues in my BMW. Do independent mechanics in cities like Islamabad o r Lahore have the proper tools to test and repair BMW charging systems accurately?

Yes, many independent European car specialists in Pakistan can handle alternator issues, but not all general mechanics are qualified.

Cities like Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad have workshops such as Euro Auto, German Auto Solutions, o r PitStop that use BMW-compatible diagnostic tools like ISTA+.

Avoid general workshops unless they have experience with German vehicles and electrical diagnostics.

For alternator diagnosis, ask if the mechanic can perform a load test, charging system check, and alternator output scan.
If your car is under warranty o r you want OEM-level service, go to a BMW authorized service center.
