In areas like Karachi, Lahore, and Multan, overheating is common. Is the water pump failing to circulate coolant efficiently under extreme heat?

Yes. In Punjab and Sindh, temperatures regularly cross 45°C, and a weak o r failing water pump cannot circulate coolant efficiently.

This causes heat pockets to form near the engine head, leading to:

Coolant boiling

Radiator cap blow-offs

Overheating in traffic o r under AC load

In many cases, the underlying issue is the water pump, but it’s misdiagnosed as a radiator o r fan issue.
