Using incorrect oil viscosity may lead to faster burning. Are local workshops using the right specifications?

In many cases, no.

Changan may recommend a specific grade like 5W-30 o r 10W-30, but local workshops often use 20W-50 too thick o r low-grade 5W oils.

Oil change intervals are often extended beyond the recommended 5,000–7,500 km, especially in non-dealer services.

Incorrect oil grade leads to:

Poor oil flow

Higher oil consumption

Extra engine load during startup

So non-compliance with oil specs is a widespread issue in Pakistan.
