To save money, some workshops blow air into old filters instead of replacing them. Is this harming engine and fuel systems?

Yes — this is a common but harmful practice:

Mechanics often blow compressed air into dirty air o r cabin filters to “clean” them, instead of replacing.

This removes only surface dust, not deeper grime, and damages filter fibers.

Fuel and oil filters are sometimes reused beyond their life, risking clogging and internal contamination.

➡️ Replacing filters is cheap compared to engine o r AC repairs.
