Are parking sensors and cameras in the C-Class reliable in dusty and rainy Pakistani conditions?

Given the frequent dust, heavy rains, and pollution in Pakistani cities, do the reverse cameras and parking sensors in the C-Class models fail o r give false warnings? Are owners forced to clean o r replace sensors regularly? How well does the system hold up in cities like Karachi, Lahore, o r Islamabad with extreme weather and poor road conditions?

No, reliability of parking sensors and reverse cameras is a known concern, particularly in dusty o r rainy seasons in Pakistan. Owners report:

False alarms from parking sensors due to dust, mud, o r water splashes

Blurred camera feed o r complete failure after monsoon rains

Frequent cleaning required, especially in areas with high pollution o r construction dust

The sensors and cameras are sensitive, and even a thin layer of dust can cause malfunctions. In many cases, water ingress o r poor sealing results in system failure. Replacement o r repair can be expensive and parts are not always available locally.
