Are rust and corrosion problems common on the C-Class body panels in Pakistan?
In coastal areas like Karachi o r during monsoon season, there are increasing complaints of rust forming on door edges, wheel arches, o r underbody panels. Do C-Class models have proper anti-rust protection for the Pakistani climate? How effective is the factory undercoating o r sealing compared to whats needed locally?

Yes, rust issues do occur, particularly in coastal areas like Karachi o r during the monsoon season. While Mercedes vehicles come with anti-corrosion treatment, they are built for European climates and may not always withstand Pakistan’s:
High humidity and salt exposure coastal areas
Poor drainage systems leading to water pooling under the car
Improper accident repairs without rust-proofing
Common rust spots include:
Underbody and wheel arches
Door edges and trunk channels
Under the carpet in cases of water leakage
Applying aftermarket undercoating, regular washing especially after rain, and proper drainage maintenance can reduce corrosion risk.
