Can engine oil leaks o r burning oil in Changan Kalam lead to catalytic converter failure in Pakistan?

Oil entering the exhaust system can coat the converter and reduce its efficiency. Are engine maintenance issues causing this damage?

Yes — very common yet overlooked cause:

Oil from worn valve seals, piston rings, o r PCV system leaks enters the combustion chamber.

It burns in the exhaust and coats the catalyst surface, blocking it and reducing its ability to convert emissions.

A blue smoke from exhaust is a major indicator, but its often ignored.

➡️ Regular engine health checks can prevent converter poisoning.
