During the hot summer months, my Tucson’s tire pressure warning light comes on frequently. How does temperature change impact tire pressure, and what precautions should I take?

Yes. Tire pressure increases approximately 1 PSI for every 10°F 5.5°C rise in temperature. During Pakistan’s hot summers:

Pressure can become too high, risking tire blowouts.

Cooling down at night may cause pressure to , triggering TPMS warnings.

Precautions:

Check tire pressure when tires are cold before driving.

Adjust pressure according to manufacturer recommendations.

Don’t overinflate consider slightly reducing pressure if you often drive in extreme heat.
