Can low-quality fuel in Pakistan cause spark plug fouling in BMW 2 Series?

I’ve noticed rough idling and reduced power in my BMW 220i. Could poor fuel quality in Pakistan lead to spark plug fouling, and how can I prevent it?

Yes, low-quality o r adulterated petrol from unreliable stations can cause spark plugs to foul. Fouling happens when fuel doesn’t burn cleanly, leaving carbon o r oil deposits on the plug tip. This leads to:

Poor ignition.

Rough engine sound.

Poor fuel economy and sluggish throttle response.

To prevent this:

Use high-octane fuel from trusted stations e.g., Shell V-Power o r PSO’s Altron X.

Periodically use fuel system cleaners compatible with BMW engines.

Stick to regular maintenance intervals.
