Does a cracked fuel cap lead to fuel vapor leaks in Changan Kalam?

Fuel smell near the rear of the car is a common complaint. Could this be due to cap damage causing vapors to escape, especially during summer in cities like Lahore o r Karachi?

Yes. A cracked fuel cap cannot maintain a proper seal, leading to:

Fuel vapor escaping, especially during summer when petrol expands

Strong smell of fuel near the rear o r side of the vehicle

Slight pressure imbalance in the fuel tank

This is particularly noticeable in hot climates like Lahore, Bahawalpur, o r Karachi, where fuel vaporization is high. So, a cracked cap does cause vapor leakage, and its not just user imagination.
