Does a faulty alternator o r weak charging system contribute to repeated dead battery issues in Changan Kalam?

Some vehicles may not be charging the battery properly. Is this being diagnosed during local servicing in Pakistan?

Overcharging due to a faulty voltage regulator damages battery cells.
