Does poor-quality coolant o r mixing tap water with coolant contribute to water pump damage in Changan Kalam in Pakistan?

In many Pakistani workshops, improper coolant is used. Could this practice corrode o r damage the water pump seals?

Absolutely yes. This is one of the primary reasons for water pump failure in Pakistan:

Tap water contains minerals and salts hard water that cause corrosion, scaling, and seal degradation.

Low-grade coolants or even dyed water sold as coolant lack anti-rust and lubrication additives.

Mixing random coolants o r using incorrect coolant types causes electrolysis and seal swelling.

Sadly, many local workshops refill coolant without flushing and often use tap water, which is highly damaging.
