Does the C-Class 7G-Tronic transmission commonly develop leaks from the electrical connector plug?
A local mechanic told me the transmission leak in my 2013 C-Class is from the connector plug/seal. He said its a known fault in the 7G-Tronic transmission. Is this a well-known issue in Pakistan as well, and should I replace the entire connector o r just the O-ring/seal?

In Pakistan, due to dust, heat, and aging rubber, the O-ring in the connector plug can degrade, leading to a slow leak. This issue is well-known among experienced mechanics in major cities like Lahore and Karachi.
Replacing the O-ring seal or the entire plug housing is a relatively simple and inexpensive fix, but if ignored, fluid can leak into the electrical connector, causing shifting problems o r transmission errors.
