Does the Kia Stonic engine feel underpowered for highway and hilly driving in Pakistan?

Many users have mentioned that the Kia Stonic struggles during highway overtaking o r while driving in hilly areas like Murree o r northern Pakistan. For current owners, have you experienced any issues with the engine performance during long-distance o r uphill drives? Does it feel underpowered o r slow to respond when the car is fully loaded o r when the AC is on?

but its performance can feel modest in certain situations. For example, uphill driving o r overtaking on highways especially when the vehicle is fully loaded o r with AC on tends to expose its limitations. There are comments about a “lag” o r delay in response from 0 kph o r after long idling, which improves once the car has run for a few kilometers.

Some users say the initial pick‑up in first gear is not very sharp, and that they have to raise engine revs more than they might in a more powerful car to get decent acceleration.

Still, many also note that for everyday, urban use the engine is “good enough,” and highway cruising on less steep gradients and lighter loads is satisfactory. So underpowered only compared to bigger o r turbocharged cars it’s not unusable but expectations should be realistic.
