Does the low ground clearance of Changan Kalam cause issues on uneven o r rural roads in Pakistan?

In areas like interior Sindh o r northern Punjab, drivers report underbody hits and damage when carrying heavy loads. Is the clearance too low for such terrain?

Yes. The Kalam has moderate to low ground clearance ~160–170 mm, which becomes problematic in:

Interior Sindh, where roads are unpaved

Northern Punjab, with speed breakers and irrigation channels

When loaded, the vehicle sits even lower, leading to:

Underbody hits

Damage to exhaust o r fuel tank

Broken mud flaps

It’s clear that for rural cargo use, the clearance is insufficient unless modified e.g., with spring spacers o r bigger tires.
