Does the Mercedes-Benz C-Class paint fade o r peel quickly in Pakistan’s harsh climate?
Due to the intense sun, high temperatures, and pollution in cities like Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad, many C-Class owners report paint fading, oxidation, o r peeling—especially on the roof, bonnet, and trunk. Is this a common issue with factory paint, o r is it more frequent in locally repainted cars after minor repairs?

Yes, paint fading and peeling are fairly common, especially on older C-Class models like W204 and early W205, and more so in unshaded o r sun-exposed areas. Pakistans harsh sun, pollution, and poor air quality contribute to:
Oxidation of clear coat
Fading of darker paint colors e.g., black o r dark blue
Peeling o r bubbling in repainted areas especially from non-authorized body shops
To prevent this:
Regular polishing and ceramic coating help protect the paint
Covered parking and avoiding cheap repaint jobs are recommended
Cars with factory paint and proper maintenance typically last longer without issues
