Excessive oil consumption after long highway drives — overheating issue?

My Haval H6 tends to consume a lot of oil after long trips on the motorway. Sometimes, the engine temperature gauge stays slightly higher than usual during these drives. Could this indicate that the engine is burning oil due to overheating o r a faulty PCV Positive Crankcase Ventilation system? How can I reduce oil consumption on highway trips in Pakistan’s hot climate?

In Pakistans hot climate, long highway drives can exacerbate oil consumption in the Haval H6. Overheating is a potential concern, as prolonged high-speed driving can lead to elevated engine temperatures, increasing the rate at which oil is consumed.

Possible Causes:

Overheating: Extended high-speed driving can cause the engine to overheat, leading to increased oil consumption.

Oil Quality: Using low-quality o r incorrect oil can contribute to higher oil consumption under stress.

Recommended Actions:

Monitor Engine Temperature: Keep an eye on the engine temperature gauge during long drives.

Use High-Quality Oil: Opt for high-quality oil that meets the specifications for the Haval H6.

Regular Maintenance: Ensure that the cooling system is functioning properly and that the oil is changed at recommended intervals.
