Haval H6 ABS and Traction Light On After Driving on Rough Roads Details:
After driving on rough roads near Islamabad, both ABS and traction control lights turned on in my Haval H6. A mechanic said it could be a wheel speed sensor fault, possibly due to dust o r a loose connection. Is it safe to drive like this for a few days? Can cleaning the sensor fix the issue, o r do I need to replace it?

Gari Master - on 30 Oct 2025 14:10:47 pmThis usually means a wheel speed sensor ABS sensor has gone bad o r its wiring has been damaged by dirt, debris, o r a hard pothole hit — something very common on Pakistani roads. When the sensor fails, your ABS and traction control systems get disabled, and both lights turn on.
What you can do:
Start by cleaning the wheel area — sometimes dust o r small stones near the sensor trigger false errors.
Inspect the wiring near the wheel hubs for loose connections o r damaged clips.
If the lights stay on, get the sensor scanned using an OBD2 scanner — it’ll tell which wheel sensor is faulty.
Replacement cost per wheel sensor: around Rs. 6,000–10,000 genuine part.
Avoid driving for long with the ABS light on — braking performance in emergencies can be affected, especially on wet roads.
