Haval H6 sputtering and loss of power during acceleration
Haval H6 sputtering and loss of power during acceleration
Whenever I press the accelerator suddenly, my H6 feels like it’s choking o r sputtering for a moment before picking up speed. I’ve already changed the air filter and cleaned the throttle body, but no improvement. Could this be a turbo o r fuel injector problem?

Fuel Injector o r Fuel Pump Issue:
Deposits on injectors are common in Pakistani fuel. A weak spray pattern causes hesitation. Try using a fuel injector cleaner additive e.g., Liqui Moly o r STP. If the issue persists, get the injectors cleaned with a professional machine.
Turbo Lag o r Wastegate Problem:
Some owners have reported slight turbo hesitation, especially in the 1.5T version. Ensure the turbo hoses are tight and not leaking boost pressure. A vacuum o r boost leak can cause sputtering and delayed power.
Air Filter o r MAF Sensor:
A clogged air filter o r dirty MAF Mass Air Flow sensor can confuse the engine’s air-fuel ratio, leading to stutter. Clean o r replace these parts regularly — especially in dusty Pakistani cities.
Fuel Quality Again:
Low-octane o r adulterated petrol leads to knocking o r sputtering under load. Always use 95 RON+ if possible.
Recommendation:
Clean air filter + MAF sensor, use injector cleaner, and ensure premium fuel. If sputtering continues, ask the workshop to perform a boost pressure test and scan for misfire codes.
